1. NLCA Meetings

We are pleased to have a return to face-to-face meetings.  Our next meeting will take place on Monday 11th November at 7:30, at Nether Lochaber Parish Church Hall.  It would be lovely to see you there!

2. Activity Day – Saturday 9th November 2023

This Saturday we’ll do the final tidy up of the year at Creag Mhor cemetery.  We have permission to use the car park at Creag Mhor lodge next to the cemetery.  Also, coffee and cake will be available for those hardy volunteers!

 Inchree Barn Update

Stage 2 Architectural Plans

From Friday 15th to Sunday 17th November, from 12:30 – 4pm each day, the Stage 2 architectural plans will be on display at Roam West.  This is an opportunity to view and comment on the plans prior to a planning application.  Please come along and join us and let us know what you think!

These are drop-in sessions and no booking is required.

Inchree Coorie Sessions

Our Weaving Lichen and Autumn Scenes event for 5th November sold out quickly, but we also have a Knitting Circle event on Tuesday 12th November from 6:30 – 8:30 pm at the Nether Lochaber Parish Church Hall.  Places are limited so booking is required.  Please bring along your current projects, or for beginners’ materials will be provided. Attendance is by donation.

THE KNITTING CIRCLE

Join local knitter Sharon Pearson at Nether Lochaber Church Hall for an evening of knitting.  No experience necessary.

4. 500 Club

Here are the winning numbers since our last update.

July winners:  Numbers: 17,55 and 48.

August winners: Numbers: 69, 72 and 20.

September winners: Numbers: 73, 70 and 78.

October winners: Numbers: 20, 28 and 35.

Do you want the chance to win some cash* each month?  Then please join our 500 club!  Not only do you have a chance of winning a prize, but you will be contributing to the regular income of the Association, which contributes to making Nether Lochaber a better place to live, work and visit. * The prize fund varies with number of members. At present the prizes are 1st: £25, 2nd: £15 and 3rd: £10.

 Tubs and Garden Areas

There is an opportunity for businesses in Nether Lochaber to sponsor the Community Association flower tubs dotted along the A82. We are looking for a donation of £50 per annum to sponsor a tub which would cover the plants and maintenance by our team of community volunteers. The sponsor would be acknowledged by a sign on the tub similar to that used by Corpach community. 6. NLCA Leaflets

Please keep an eye out on the post this week as we will be delivering a leaflet to all households in Nether Lochaber.  We’d like to attract more interest in the association from more members of the community.  We all share the aim of making Nether Lochaber a better place to live, work and visit, so community engagement is key to our success.  If you would like to get involved, please do not hesitate to contact us.
